I build the software – and run it too.

I've been building software since 2010, hands on the code and not just at the whiteboard. PHP, Laravel and the LAMP stack have been with me from the start. Over the years Go, Node and cloud architecture on AWS came along.

The rare part is the combination: I build production software and I also run it. Add a sober view of cost (FinOps) and EU/GDPR. Plenty of people do one or the other. I do both.

For me, taking something to production means infrastructure as code (CDK/Terraform), ECS Fargate with autoscaling, queues and schedulers wired up properly, CI/CD pipelines, observability and zero-downtime deploys. Plus tuned LAMP/LEMP stacks (Nginx or Apache, PHP-FPM, MySQL/MariaDB) that stay stable under load.

I'm triple AWS-certified (Associate level). I take AI to production: RAG systems and LLM integration on AWS, with cost control instead of PoC tinkering. I do WordPress when a project needs it.

Where strategic technical leadership is needed, I help as a fractional CTO: on architecture decisions, build-vs-buy questions and assessing existing systems. Selectively and project-based, with the perspective of someone who also builds the systems.
